Throughout my childhood, I grew up with sports like baseball, football and basketball. Once I graduated high school, I knew sports journalism was going to be my career for the rest of my life.
After high school, I attended Iowa State University and became a student in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communications. I wrote for the Iowa State Daily, a student publication, throughout my four college years and covered a variety of sports. I had the privilege to be the sports editor during my senior year.
I graduated in May of 2018 and became a full-time sports reporter for RiverTown Multimedia. My responsibilities included covering five high schools for the Woodbury Bulletin and South Washington County Bulletin, which were weekly publications.
In January of 2020, I accepted a position with the St. Cloud Times to become the high school sports reporter and cover seven local high schools. This job focuses on being an all-around journalist by incorporating text, photos, videos, social media and other forms of multimedia.
My past jobs included two summer internships with the Sun Post Newspaper in Osseo, Minnesota, as well as a six-month co-op with the Boston Globe in the spring of 2017.
