MINNEAPOLIS —  The Sartell dance team stood in the tunnel before its final high kick performance of the season. The dancers were the first high kick team to perform Saturday night in the finals. 

The only thought the dancers had was to leave everything on the floor, and the results will come later. 

The girls got into position and before the head coach Kelly McCarney gave the thumbs up to the DJ, the dancers took one deep breath.

Blaze leaves Ultimate Sports Bar in Waite Park in ruins

WAITE PARK —  A fire Monday morning at Ultimate Sports Bar & Grill left the popular establishment in shambles, with the roof collapsed and most windows broken out.

Firefighters remained on scene just before noon after spending about 3 hours battling the blaze.

Apollo coach relives crazy day leading up to section title

MELROSE — Amid all the cancellations, suspensions and postponements of games in the NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA, Apollo head coach Jason Allen knew Thursday was going to be a different day. 

He took the day off from work so his main focus could be the Section 8AAA boys basketball final that night against Alexandria in Melrose.

At 2:10 p.m., everything changed.
